In the tread, and out the sidewall. Stayed fully inflated and didn't lose a single pound in pressure and has covered at least 30 miles, maybe up to 80.

Still loads of tread left so have used the "Stop and go tyre plugger" to plug the hole in the tread, and the hole in the sidewall :D.

Just did 30 miles and all good. See what it's like in the morning.

Lucky you, I had a bolt go through my newish rear tyre a couple of weeks ago in Ireland, it even put a big gouge in the paralever casing!

Tyre plugger wouldn't sort it, so Aidan fixed it with a rat tail but even that's just given out and had to replace the tyre this morning:mad:

This is what you call a bolt, and it hasn't reached the bolt thread yet - morocco 2007 :D

It's not having it. Gone down twice since i plugged it.

Bollox to it, too much tread left so i've fitted a tube. :D

As you're sharing photo's, here's mine. Going round a roundabout off the M5 to work one day the rear end of the K1100LT lifted a few inches into the air! Later noticed the tyre a bit low and I could see something small and shiny in the tread, so rode carefully home and took the bike to be plugged. Fitter could't pull the end out, so removed the tyre and found this :eek

fitted a tube !!!

you're a boy steptoe.

did think of that on mine but decided the tube would bulge out of the hole.

found a new continental on ebay, £44 buy it now inc p&p.

(gave the old tyre to my cousin who is even tighter than me)
