Just removed the rear wheel to take it to be fitted with new wellington boot, when I was there the mechanic took off the sprocket and it was held in place by some rubber bushes.

What are these actually called and where can I get hold of them on the internets, links would be awesome.

Cheers! Ben

Refered to as cush rubbers or dampers. Take up the shock as you dump the clutch and reduces shock to chain and drive line.

Cheers guys, toying with the idea of getting + fitting them myself instead of under my 12k service.

:-)

Yeah I clocked that too! I think the dealer only quoted £13 for the parts... I wonder if they will stick to that promise, I've got it in writing :-)

Scam alert!

unless they're absolutely and visibly knackered you shouldn't have to replace them - they should last a damn site longer that 12k miles!

I replaced the original 80k+ miles ones on my fazer thou with very low mileage ones from an R1 and didn't notice much difference in the bike, nor did the originals look knackered. since done almost another 20k on the second set. spend your pennies elsewhere.
