Hi there
Have any of you guys found some narrow panniers for your F650GS?
With the BMW Vario panniers unexpanded it makes the width of the bike 930mm, as the handlebars only measure 890mm I'd ideally like the back end to be a bit narrower.
Cheers

Don't think there is anything that is narrow than the bike its self! I've got a set of stahlkoffer panniers that aren't much wider than the bars and they're a fine.

I have a givi topbox which I use for city riding.

Hope that helps :)

Hi GUZZI,

I have the Jesse luggage system had them near on a couple of years now, no problems, water tight and secure, what a lot of people do do realise is there position is not fixed as in, you can move them back to give more room to a pillion or slide them forward fr a better riding balance centre of gravity :thumb
on and off quick :thumb2 available black or silver powder coated inside and out aluminium. I have the black and carrier frame black blends into the bike:thumb2

there are two types the wider odysey which I have (carry more spare pants on tour:D) and the narrower safari (by 100mm )

here is the web link from there american source where I purchased. :D

Take a look lots of pictures of the F650GS with the luggage and the good news is a fellow GSer here is the allocated UK supplier twowheeltrecker

I have the TT mirror extender and my panniers are 10mm each side wider than my extended mirrors so if they fit panniers are clear to follow.

hope this is of some help:thumb2

good luck with your choice :beerjug:

I had my panniers made by ard case to my own measurements 6.5 and 8 inch as I did not want the bike too wide, mounted on a Hoolan rack and they are spot on for what I need and the quality is very very good! I can't recommend Roger enougth

The Jesse luggage is real nice, but at £1150 just a bit pricey.

GringoRojo, I must admit the Givi one's don't look that nice on the website pics, so some on bike pics would be great, thanks. Also would you be able to tell me how wide they make the bike when fitted?
Cheers

Modified Soft luggage

I had the same problem but didnt want to loss capacity by getting the little 21 ltr givi's. So I tried this with an old pair of Frank Thomas panniers I had lying around, mounted to the Givi rack that was on the bike when I bought it.

They look wide on this pic but are roughly the same width as the bars.

The strap that used to go over the seat now fits around the grab rails.
Used this system for around 500 miles and no problems.
Just an idea hope it helps.

not had a chance to fit the panniers and measure them, but here's a couple of pics from this summer as we were just about to head off for Nordkapp. :D
