Meet at the Oakdene Cafe for a 10:00 start. Arrive earlier should you want something to eat and drink.

Ride up to Staffordshire will be via motorways and will be under 3 hours (160odd miles). There is a petrol station a few yards from the Oakdene but will aim to do a stop about halfway there.

Buellzebub ... if we aim to meet you at the NMA for 12:30-13:00.

Spend a few hours at the NMA and then off to the campsite which is only 12 miles away. Setup camp, relax and then hit the pub and food.

Sunday ... no set time to leave so lets discuss Saturday night. Travel via motorway to Oakdene.

RD. ... any update on whether your son will be coming? Did you manage to test him as pillion over a longer distance yet?

Will post a list of final attendees nearer the time.

Sounds good to me :thumb2

FYI - Joe

Nigel is very unlikely to join us now due to lack of funds. :nenau

Both of my sons have ridden pillion for up to 250 miles a day but we have stopped a few times to stretch our legs, use toilets and refreshments.
It's likely that my youngest son will join us as he gets less bored than his older sibling and is in to Dirt Bikes but I'll decide which one of them probably the night before.

Is it ok to rendezvous en-route at a specified time?

I'll probably ride up the A27, M27 & A34 - We could meet somewhere on the M40 or M1.
If you have any suggestions or ideas for a rendezvous just let me know a place and time.

Thanks mate. :thumb2

Regards,

RD.

Chaps - a slight problem. Something has come up and I am now unable to attend :(

I appreciate that this only leaves 3-4 people attending but is there anybody that could take on this event?
I can still do all the final planning etc but just cannot attend.
Should you take it on then I will give you full support and assistance.
Please let me know ASAP.

The latest update is below

Attendees :
DaveGS (Dave)
RD. (Richard) - meet in petrol station M40 J10 Cherwell Valley services @ 11:30.

Anybody else please post up should you wish to attend/camp.

Anybody up to taking the event day/camp over from me?
I need to get back to the pub/campsite owner by Monday next week to confirm numbers.
Let me know ASAP otherwise I will cancel.

Hey Joe,

I'll take the reins, it would be a shame to cancel this very worthwhile event.
I'm happy to meet Dave and others en-route and Mick at the NMA.
Camping and breakfast is a necessity as is a few beers on Saturday night. :beerjug:
We (my son & I) need to camp to break up the ride just for my son's numb bum. :augie

Hope all is good for you.

TTFN.

Richard. :)
