NAUTILUS Horn wiring

Need some help please

I've fitted a NAUTILUS Horn to my 1200gsa (2010)

Relay wired up as follows

Pin 87 - nautilus horn +
Pin 85 - original horn wiring via NN connector
Pin 86 - original horn wiring via NN connector
Pin 30 - positive terminal on centech fuse block

Nautilus horn compressor earthed via earthing point

When I put the fuse in to the centech fuse block the compressor bursts into action without me pressing the horn button

WTF am I doing wrong?

Splice 85 to the positive lead coming from the horn button. Connect 86 to ground. (Or the other way around. Shouldn't matter.)

Well, it obviously does not work as advertised, does it? A standard relay is quite simple. Run juice over the coil (pins 85 and 86), and the loop between pins 30 and 87 close. No juice, and the loop is open. (Or closed between 30 and 87a if you have a 5 pin relay.) So you need to bring out the old lamp or multimeter to check if you have power to the control circuit when you should, and not when you shouldn't.

Does the relay click when you connect the coil terminals up? If it doesnt is there a short between the contacts when the coil is not powered - could be a faulty relay.

It's even MORE fun in the big echoey MOT bay, when there's a mechanic working under a car bonnet right next to you, and you just hold your finger on the button
