nav 4 issues with maps......

hi chaps of knowlage..

bought a nav 4 from ebay, yep i know i know, looks like iv been bit in the arse with it....

The maps have been updated to 2015 so all well i thought, but no its so slow and the streets don't show up!!!!!

Would it need a full wipe of maps then a reload, or ride down to London and stick it up the guys arse sideways

had tomtoms all the time so this is a new system for me, so mite be me just being stupid...

Or get it sent away to somebody to sort out?

Let's start with dealing with your map detail question first, as the solution might address your vague 'The device is slow' problem, too.

The following may not be exactlty the sequence to find your map detail, but you'll get there somehow, I'm sure. From memory, the way to find out is:

Home start-up screen

Settings / spanner

Map

My maps

Installed maps

You should then see the installed maps listed. Besides each there should be tickable boxes. Tick them.

Return to home screen

View map

Zoom in

Is the street detail there now?

If yes, one problem solved. Report back to confirm and we'll move on to the speed issue.

If no, report back and tell us EXACTLY what you found when you got to 'Installed maps'
