Nav 5 poi camp sites

Hello wondered if you can find campsites when using the nav I know you can find them
On base camp was hoping that when out and about if you wanted to find a petrol station you can using poi can you do the same with trying to find campsites.

Try using the lodging search in POI's? Works on other Garmin devices.

Yes I think there is that's what I use on base camp. I can look at moment but it will be tested next week. Hopefully it does.

If you find your sites on BaseCamp you can create waypoints & save them on your device as favourites.
There will be more campsites on Google maps. You could also use their postcode. What about a campsite app for your phone for searching & postcode info.

That's what I have been doing.
But I was heading to southwest Germany next week but with the floods if I can stay where I had planned I was hoping I could use the nav to find other sites.

I'm away untill I leave
Friday and won't have much time
To look. If not it will have to be on the fly
Or ask some nice Germany lady's.

Postcodes might be unreliable in Europe. They don't work same as UK.

There are some third party campsite gpx files out there.

Google something like: Garmin poi camping Europe and surf about.

I have no idea if they are any good.

PS It's your mates who want to camp.... In the pouring rain. Tell them to find them.

Archiescampsites is what you need, Google it and download the file applicable to a garmin.... Job done.
