Nav II on ebay - What do you reckon?

I reckon the current owner needs a new camera :D .

The BWM Nav II is an expensive version of the identical Garmin unit so you are likely to pay over the odds anyway. Given the interest that has already been generated, and with 3 days to go, you need to be careful not to pay too much.

I would take a look at the GPS warehouse site and see what price you would have to pay for a new Quest or 2610 and limit your bid accordingly.

I have not tried them but amazon seem to have garmin 2610 at a resoanble price???

The highest bid is currently at 330 quid which coincidentally is the price of a brand new Quest from GPS Warehouse :)

A SP2610 with bike mount from GPSW is 600 quid.

Based on Mouse's reply, you need to think very carefully before buying on eBay. If you buy new you will have piece of mind for 12 months and will be entitled to any map upgrades that are issued (though there may not be any!).

I'm in the same situation re: buying a second hand GPS.

It all depends how on old the Nav.II is? They come with a 2 year warranty, unlike the 1 year warranty on the 2610. I'm buying a used Nav.II privately, just over one year old. The remainder of the warranty is transferable as long as the seller can provide you with the original proof of purchase (dated of course).

I prefer the Nav.II because of the extra console with the 4 buttons, easier to use than the touch screen of the 2610. The Nav.II retains the touch screen though.
