Tried search but cannot find even though I know it has been discussed previously.

Will the NAV IV work in the Zumo 660 cradle and if so what functions will / won't work.

Thanks

the simple answer is yes
and all that happens is you dont have the extra buttons on the side!!!
as the nav is a 660 with a special cradle!!!:augie:thumb

Mine works in the Zumo 660 car cradle, so by inference, it should also work in the motorcycle mount. The only functions which won't work will be the one operated by the hard buttons on the side of the BMW mount and which aren't replicated on-screen, ie the page toggle which is no great loss and the information can be accessed via the on-screen menu.

So if the Nav IV will work in the 660 cradle then presumably the audio output will now be accessible?

The 3.5mm stereo jack on the side of the unit will be accessible and will output a signal just as it does when it's mounted in the Zumo 660 car cradle.

However, if this function is important to you, you probably wouldn't want to go to the extra expense of buying a Nav IV in the first place....:nenau

...and the other main reason for buying Garmin, namely their superb after-sales service, start to crumble when talking about a BMW unit....

Although the BMW Navigator units come with a 2 year BMW warranty rather than the Garmin 1 year cover.
