Nav IV on the pc

I have got the BMW Nav IV and would like to use some pc based features. I have loaded the Garmin express, but all that does is update and has no mapping or routes interrogation. Am I missing something?. Also I'v loaded a 32GB MSD card and copied a shed load of mp3's but it will not play them, any ideas please.

For mapping and route planning you need BaseCamp or Mapsource. They are differently unpleasant to use. BaseCamp is the more recent (in other words it's hopelessly incomplete) but it's the one Garmin now "support". As regards your MP3s, how did you put them onto the unit. If you're using Windows Media Player, rememebr that it's default setting is WMA, not MP3. Most portable players will support WMA but as far as I'm aware, Garmins dont.
