Does anybody know if there is a sun shade for the Nav IV, there is one for the 660 but it does not fit the Nav IV.

The one on NN's site says 660 and Nav IV?

Has Norman screwed up or have you missed it?

You could always try non-reflective screen saver film... Or just satisfy yourself that it's really not as bad a problem as you think... Spend more time riding south on sunny days!

With the nav 5 you can turn the brightness right up to setting number 5.

Mine came out of the box as standard on only setting number 1

If the screen is being bleached out by bright sunshine, turning up the brightness doesn't have any meaningful effect, whether it's a Nav V, a Nav IV, a 660 or the 62" TV in your sittingroom. If anything it will make the problem worse, not better as you will lose the contrast.

Really, it only happens when the sunlight strikes the screen from roughly over your shoulder; travelling say north on bright sunny morning or afternoon. Shift your butt on the seat or alter your pose to create a bit of shadow, that is all you need to do. Nobody rides around glued to their GPS screen... Or at least they shouldn't. Just adapt and adopt to circumstances as they change; it's free and confirms your Adventure biking credentials.

H'mm I better turn it down a bit, must admit I haven't tried it with it turned up to full bright, I only did it yesterday.:nenau
