You've probably noticed that the Nav V records a lot of data during a ride and some of it isn't accessible until you take the Nav V off the bike. I did a ride of 120 miles the other day and it seems to suggest that I did over 6000 gear changes.

Can that possibly be correct - or does the thing nee to be manually reset after each ride to start counting afresh?

50 changes on average for every mile, possible if you did 120 miles on Brands hatch.
I don't have NAV5 but likely you need to reset every trip by the looks of it.

Where do you find that info on the Nav5?

Checked my last ride 5133 changes 282 miles, Yes it looks a lot, but that's roughly 18 gear changes a mile.. 6 speed box.. all it takes is a couple of give ways/stops and some twist roads..

My last ride was 222 miles and 29293 gear changes, or 132 changes per mile! It does seem a lot doesn't it?

You must have gear assist pro or arms like Popeye!!
Yes that does seem a lot

I've just got in from another ride: 81 miles 29970 gear changes. It's looking like it's cumulative figure.

Looks like a resetting is required beforehand for a correct reading.

Ride safe
