Nav V North American maps.

As I understand it, the V comes with North American maps pre-installed, however;
When I go to 'change country' I don't seem to be able to find the good old USA.
Garmin express doesn't seem to list what is installed just which updates are available.

So assuming the maps are actually there, how do I check and access them?

Any help much appreciated.

If you buy the nav V in the Uk/Europe, you will (AFAIK) only get "Europe" maps as your Lifetime Maps.

What gave you the impression that a European Nav V would have detailed US maps loaded onto it?

Just think if the reverse was true. You'd have Joe Hick from Bumville, Arkansas kicking his wife (more than normal) when confronted with maps of St Austell.

Paul08, you're spot on.

Nav V comes with 'European, North American or no preloaded maps'.

Was given wrong info by lad at dealers who inserted 'and' instead of the comma.

Mustn't grumble as unit was a sweetener for a factory mistake.
