Hi Guys,

Forgive me if this has already been listed but I can't find anything via Twaptalk search and google isn't giving me anything.

Im currently in France, the Nav VI has done a good job of getting through France, Switzerland, Italy and French Alps and today west just beyond Toulouse (aiming to go north via west coast - any route recommendations seriously welcome!! )

That said, the f*cking thing keeps rebooting, mainly after I have stopped, unit shuts down and when I head off again it's all good and then we a few mins later we go into what is almost a routine reboot - it's switches off, restarts and then I have to select maps again to get get back to where I was before all the joy started.

Is the unit f*cked of does it just need a firmware update of something ?

Once restarted it will at most donut one more time and the good until I stop again.

Did 400 miles today and probably rebooted about 5 times all in.

Cheers

RR

is this something do to with the N europe and S europe mapping on the unit ?

I had this on a nav IV. The fix for mine was to keep the imported routes to a minimum, the system seemed to struggle with too much info in there, once I started deleting routes I have used It has never happend since. The routes will still be there in your data just bring them forwards as you need them and don't clutter up the 'front desk'.
Hope this helps, Good luck.

I was in the same area myself ten days ago, and my Nav V1 was doing the same thing
Not much help I know but it has been fine since so I had forgot about it

Thanks guys, will be interesting to see if it "self heals" when back in UK, it's not a biggie as restarts fine, just a bit random

mine did the same just back from Spain and France and it kept re-booting randomly, been ok today on a ride in the UK

Hopefully there will be a software/firmware fix released as something clearly not right, same again for me three times today.
