See if it’s recognised as Navigator V1-1 now rather than Navigator V1 when it’s connected to Express. Mine needed map and software updating when it arrived a few weeks ago.

Don't get too excited the one we have that is ghosting is also a Nav V1-1, it was a replacement.

Given that the latest and promised replacement devices are apparently only being shipped:

In the second half of 2023…..

I am wondering if the fellow did indeed receive the latest updated version or one of the earlier ones, which are known to fail, too.

=====

New one has arrived it’s a bare bones replacement will see how long this one lasts.

You couldn’t make this situation up, at least they are replacing them for free.

I had a few replaced with the standard nav 6 and make life a ride - in all instances, they failed. Miserably.

Mine lasted a few months

I think it is important to differentiate between:

A. Units that failed and were then replaced (to subsequently fail again) by units in ‘Edition 1’

B. Units that failed and were then replaced (to subsequently fail again) by units in ‘Edition 2’ the so called, Make Life a Ride devices

C. Units that are replaced by ‘Edition 3’ devices which, apparently, are not being released until we are through the first half of 2023

Or this thread will be flooded with “My replacement didn’t work’ type posts.

My edition 1 failed after 2 years (although only about 14 days of actual use due to Covid)
My edition 2 failed after 5 months.

I was also told by my local dealer they are not expecting to have any of the edition 3 units until early 2024.

The upshot of this thread, so far at least, is:

A. The edition 1 and edition 2 units are reasonably likely to display ghosting and other problems. That is old news.

B. Nobody has yet received a generation 3 replacement.

I’ll close it down until such time as someone satisfies part B.
