Last weekend I was feeling a little disillusioned with my Zumo 550. It had started shutting down whilst in the cradle and was bordering on unreliable. So I started phoning around to see how much the transition to a Navigator iii would cost me.
One dealer I rang (who must remain nameless in case he wasn't supposed to mention this) told me to hang fire on the Nav iii as the Navigatot iv was due out soon. Of course I pressed him on this.
Apparently this dealership had no Nav iii's left. They had been told by BMW that they were to no longer offer the Zumo 550 and that they would NOT be selling the 660 either.
When I asked the release date of the Navigator iv I was told that shipping was expected mid August.
He could not tell me anything at all about the unit. Ie which, if any, Garmin unit it would be based on (Bearing in mind the 2820 is no more).
Has anyone else heard anything at all about a possible forthcoming Navigator iv ? I have scoured t'internet and cannot find a single mention of it. Surprising since we are a little over a month away from official launch.
