Ahhhhh perhaps you SHOULD have gone to Costco
1] You would have saved £200
2] You wouldn't have had the hassle of getting a duff unit and having to sort it out.

CostCo have an excellent no-quibble money back or exchange programme (I once returned a faulty cordless phone after 11 months and got a refund without any trouble).

I bought my SPIII from GPSW 15 months ago and haven't had a minute of 'downtime' so far, so can't comment on their after sales support, but their sales service is quick & efficient. Oh, and they price match, but generally don't have to because they price competitively.

How do you actually get into Costco's web site and buy something?
You don't!

You have to go to one of their stores armed with those bits of identity/occupation proof that they demand. When you've done that and parted with your registration fee, you can shop from the store (not from the web). No credit cards!

 As I understand it Costco Charge £710 ? PLUS VAT Equals £834, so if true and you ai'nt VAT reg. Dearer than GPS W/house?? Then your only paying £70 for the Beautiful BMW Experience, Two Years Warranty PLUS the Built in BMW Dealer Waypoints :D these Alone must be worth the EXTRA :hapybnce: :hapybnce: :hapybnce:

Costco price is £710.00 INCLUDING VAT...that's £604.00ex vat....

All you need now is a Costco Trade member who also accepts credit cards(like me:D) & you're in business.........although when I was in the Edinburgh Costco on Tuesday their Garmin SPIII 'mountain' had disappeared.....1500 units sold in six days.......more due this weekend, allegedly..........:)

Gavin

Same thing happened to me abroad this year .

It could be your track log which is full up , but it sounds like you will have to re-set the GPS .
If so you will loose any route or waypoints if you reset the gps.

When the gps is off I think you press the power and route button at the same time .

Dave Ward at Rainbow Motors is good to talk to 01709 835917
