navigator updates

Bought a navigator at a good price.Free updates they say.Received version 6,loaded it,but couldnt unlock any maps.Updates are free,but then you have to pay$150 to get the unlock codes!!Still using version 5 at the moment,anybody got an unlock code I can use?

Another one suckered in by a smooth talking salesman!

Hard facts:

1. You will not get free mapping data updates that you can use unless they were released before you registered your Navigator
2. Unlock codes are unit-specific ie you cannot use someone else's unlock code with your GPS
3. The Garmin equivalent to your Navigator is waterproof, does not go haywire when raindrops fall onto its touch-sensitive screen and is much cheaper for essentially the same unit.

   If you have only just purchased you Navigator from a BMW Dealer (ie it was brand new and unused and you purchased from an authorised source), you should be able to get the v6 unlock code from Garmin in Romney.
