Hello

I've just noticed that the pillion footpeg hanger - the 'U'-shaped bit of the rear subframe - has a small loop welded onto the inside. It looks like it is either there to protect something or for some other thing to pass through. Doesn't seem to be anythign worth protecting, nor any likely candidates for being passed through, though.

Questions: what is it for? Should the other side have one (mine doesn't). Should there be something either attached to it or going through it?

Bored? Me?

Robin.

Footpeg hanger

Teutonic thoroughness. It's to identify where your right hand goes (above the loop) when you lift the bike onto the main stand.

not quite Keith
Its actually to stop you burning your hand on can when you go to lift the bike onto centre stand
Sherpa;)

Thanks.

I suppose that makes sense, and is teutonic thoroughness whichever way you look at it. Either way, at least I know my bike isn't missing anything.

That's got to be good for another 5 m.p.h. round the corners!

Robin.
