Stu and I have been to the bike show - so we have made a rough and ready guide to the Adventure bikes at the show. There are BMW's, KTM's and a visit to the Touratech stand.

We met Charley Boorman again and I bought his book, just for the sake of the video, you understand ;-)

Nick Sanders was waxing lyrical about the off road capabilities of an R1 - so we left him to it.

There were some nice bits and pieces on the Touratech stand and some updated bikes on the BMW stand, along with a fantastic concept bike.

The Ducati Multistrada is just about the most ugly bike ever made, along with missing the point of an adventure bike - but some will like it.

Check out the show for yourself ....

Sorry if this is in the wrong section - but there didn't seem to be a suitable place.

Nice coverage of the show :thumb2 I went up yesterday kept wondering when all the people would arrive.

Impressive BMW stand, it was a shame it was staffed by people who did not really understand thier products.

Loved the ktm adventure with the big 40 ltr tank fitted

Went to the bike show today, personally I liked the look of the Ducati, but wouldn't buy it, wasn`t too impressed with the updates on the GS`s, considering a GSA is now around 14k with all the toys, I dont see any improvement on the 08 version, so would save my cash and stick with that (though I sold my 08 GSA months ago). I do love the look of the acid green S1000RR, which has justified my deposit 2 weeks ago on one, with all the extras, for delivery on March 1st:D
Meanwhile, I`m happy with my R1100GS:)

is it me..

Is it me.. or does that multistrada front end look just like a Suzuki bandit with a pair of nostrils..?

I just think they have made it look more like a bird beak than the BMW one, Italian styling?:)

I was seriously unimpressed particularly with Honda, Benelli, MZ etc not even bothering to show up but even more so with Ducati's pathetic excuse for a stand..2 Bikes!!:rob rubbish.
