That may well do what you need. But if it was me I'd be looking at something with more RAM and Hard drive space. Like this, for just a tenner more:

I bought an Asus laptop from Argos for £329 I think it was when they were on sale thanks to @wessie. It's a slightly higher spec with the i5 processor but I've been very impressed with it so the Asus you've posted should be a decent bit of kit if the op doesn't want to spend more for the i5 version as the ram and hard drive look the same.

The only downside for me was it doesn't have a DVD player/writer as I had an okder version of MS Office I bought previously that I wanted to upload rather than start paying a subsvription for it but they were selling an external plug and play Asus one for under £30 which hits the spot too.

ASUS have been around for donkeys years, I used their motherboards and graphic cards when I used to build my own machines. Not many laptops have CD/DVD drives these days, as you say, the plug in ones are cheap enough should you need one.
