Since fitting my Remus Y piece / Revolution / K&N my 1150 GSA Twinspark pulls so much better :D (& uses more juice :( )I keep thinking I'm only in fifth when I've already cogged up to top. Was wondering what she'd be like with the O/D box from a std 1150.

When I got the GSA (after two std 1150's) I thought the lower top was a much more usefull ratio most of the time but now feel it would probably pull the overdrive OK - which was nicer on long runs & when touring abroad. As I never fitted the above kit to my std 1150's I don't know how well they pull the O/D top so can't answer my own question, so to speak.

So question is I suppose

Firstly can you fit an 1150 o/d top gear to the GSA or would it have to be the complete box (££££ )

For owners of std 1150's with the above setup how well did they pull (subjective I know) when you did the mods - I certainly felt o/d top was a bit overgeared with the standard setup.

Thanks in anticipation

Ade

FWIW: My bike had a Y piece on when I got it and I think the O/D sixth is great. It pulls fine in top if above 60mph but day to day I rairly change out of 5th (A road commuting). When travelling proper it is a big bonus to have an O/D top gear for lazy Mway or dual carriageway progress. :)

Don`t know, but the adv did have the "option" of the standard or lower first so it`s a reasonable assumption that 6th might be interchangable too?
