Hi Guys and gals
Well I have just collected my new GSA and I could not be happier! What a bike! I am fitting a few farkles and one thing I am considering is a side stand extender – from reading on here it would appear there are really two choices:
Wunderlich and their - http://www.wunderlich.de/shop/en/wunderlich-seitenstander-auflagevergrosserung-5863.html
And Touratech - http://shop.touratech.co.uk/side-stand-base-extension-for-bmw-r1200gs-adv-from-2014-wide-shape.html
I am particularly concerned that when in the “up” positon it shouldn’t fowl the frame?
I would be grateful for your advice and experience please.

When the stand is up, it won't touch the frame. I've ordered a new GSA, and it looks like the side stands are different to my GS, so I'll have to order a new one.:blast

Dont say that nutty, ive just ordered one for a GS thinking it will fit my GSA when it arrives......................

On the Touratech link, it says GSA only.:blast Gives me a good excuse to order more tat.:D I think I'll go for Wunderlich this time, as their stuff looks better.:thumb

I have the Wunderlich one and would highly recommend it! No problems hitting the frame or anything else.

Yup the GSA has a different profile plate to the GS :blast

We've just had our first batch of the new GSA Fat Foot arrive today - so fill yer boots chaps :D:D:D and don't forget we have a discount running until the end of August:thumb2

I would go careful with an extender if it increases the length of the side stand as it's much longer than previous GS's. The bike sits very upright. If it's to increase the base then fill ya boots :D

Bought it! Thanks for every ones help and advice. In the end I went with “Rugged Roads Adventure Fat Foot” – why? Well simply because the service I received from Jonathan Parke was nothing short of sensational!! Thank you Jonathan. The part was ordered today and I’ll get it tomorrow. It doesn’t get better or easier than that.
Thanks again to one and all.
