Need brake pads in Moroc. Can you help?

Hi , I have an f800gs and need rear brake pads urgently. I'm currently in merzouga and will be heading toward marakesh soon.

Does anyone in moroc have a contact or can order some for me. I wil pay by card over phone. I'm planning to be in the atlas mountains and ouazazate area for the next week.

Help appreciated.

According to EBC you need their part number FA213 and if you then Google for FA213 you will find it is used also on Honda CB500, the original F650GS/Dakar, F650 X models, Ducati Sport, Yamaha MT-03, and a pile of other bikes.

I'd suggest you contact Peter Buitelaar at Bikershome in Ouarzazate. Peter will probably tell you that getting parts shipped in is a real pain with customs, so your best bet might be either to get someone to bring some in for you, or to see whether you can get pads in Morocco.

In the meantime, go slow and use the front brake!

You'll get those from one of several suppliers in Casablanca......and Peter can arrange them for the next day usually.

Delivery is cheap, as they get put on a big wagon and dropped off, so it's not going to cost you the earth.

Thanks for the help guys. I have reached out to Peter and made some arangements. Heading for the nekob/tinghir piste now, with a weak back brake. All fun huh.
