Need to get R1150GS crown wheel bearing replaced

Don't want to go near a rip off BMW dealer to get this done. Based in Dublin, any recommendations?

You probably underestimate yourself .
There is a fair bit of spannerin before you get to where you need to be ,
hence the Costs .
I broke down in Portugal , and had no choice but a dealers , Eur400 , it came in at ..

If i can , Anyone can . I am by no means handy.

Get price from dealer, to see the actual cost of getting it done by trained chap with correct tools and warranty after. Might still be savage but maybe not. Tools = job done well and quickly. Easy to spoil the new bearing fitting it and there is a litany of repairs that do not last.

Gave it a lash myself. Quite easy to disassemble. Ordering new bearing and seal now.
