A word of advice or two please gents-I've taken all the bolts out, what next? I know there's sealant on the machined surfaces but its putting up a fight! I dont want to force it off-is there something I'm not doing?

You can try to hammer it apart with a plastic/rubber hammer. But the best thing to do is check with the manual since it says there the order to take bolts apart and you can also check if you have missed one ;)

I think you should get some pictures of this for us, if you don't mind. :thumb

You'll need to link them to an external site because you don't subscribe before you try attaching anything here and get frustrated when it doesn't work. :thumb

Is the OP referring to the front engine cover removed to access the Hall sender and alternator belt or the one behind that provides the mounting for the sender and the alternator?

Hi Pekka.
I should have added Steptoe's post to highlight the fact that the OP was not very clear in his request.
Not a dig at your link:beerjug:
