Need to know what your charging system is doing?

Got one on my 650.
I've had it a couple of years and I'm still not convinced about it. It gets confused when I switch my HID DEs on. I'd like to connect a proper voltmeter to see how it compares.
 
would help me when my airhead is running extra lights and heated vest etc.... i'd like to know it's charging and there's more going in than out?

Just rang about these, he just sold his last stock this morning so who got them? :aidan

Will have more in a fortnight but price is going up to £20 delivered from £18.

Was considering 2 for the 1150 and 100 and been told if I get a cheque in right away can have them for £18 each.

When switching th HIDs on I assume there must be some kind of voltage spike which causes it to go nuts.
It starts pulsing green as if overcharging and continues flashing for five minutes or so. It then goes through a reset cycle and settles down to normal. :confused:
