Am trying to fix next doors Winn 2000 pc. The network card appears to be running ok and I can configure TCPIP to be DHCP. But if I look at the connection I'm not getting any incomming packets. If I go to the dos shell and use ipconfig /all, it tells me that IP routing enabled - no, and WINS proxy enabled - no
If I try to ping my gateway, I get 'unable to initialize windows sockets interface, error code 0'
Looks like some thing is wrong with the networking but I don't know what. I've deleted the adaptor and reinstalled, turned the macafee off and still no luck. Any suggestions as I've spent hours trying to figure this out without any luck so far.
Thanks
Andrew.
