Well me and Mrs Ronno, hurried home from work. Tidied the hoose. She nipped out to the shop for a packet of Garibaldi biscuits (which we couldnae really afford but what the hell, push the boat out now and again as they say).
I gave the dogs a crash course in no' biting.
Batted a few calls fae folk asking me to go oot for a pint. "Sorry, no can do," says I, "We're expecting a visitor"
It's now 10 past 10....
...and the **** hasnae turned up.
I'm no' naming names cos YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE.
Wee footnote: I remember years ago, my Faither telling me that he couldnae understand the reasons for The Final Solution.
"Why did Hitler pick on the Jews, son?" He asked me, as I sat on his knee. He said it through clenched teeth cos I was thirty three at the time. "It's beyond my comprehension. What did the Jews ever do to us?" He went on, wiping a tear from his cheek. I must have been heavy.
"Why did he not pick on volk von Ayrshire und the Isle Of Skye? Never trust those Untermensch"
At the time, I couldn't really see where he was coming from. After tonight, I realise what Mein Vater meant...
