The bog cleaner must have answered the phone when I rang asking about a battery for my 1100.....the miserable git didn`t know what fitted what....and couldn`t help with Hawker Odyssy batteries. Nor could he post a battery out to me.

I got one cheaper from Marriotts in Birkenhead

Cheshire couldn't have been more helpful when I got mine.

"I understand you are a good source for the Hawker Oddessy PC680", sez I.

"Oh aye", sez he, "That to fit a BMW 1150GS?"

"Yup", sez I (thinks - had a few calls then...)

"You'll get the one with the metal jacket", he replies, "It looks like a tight fit but it works. Price is (£50-something plus £10 for next day delivery, around £70ish - I forget precisely, but it's gone up a bit now). We've got some in stock so you can have it tomorrow"

And it arrived as promised. I assume Tarka did get the bog cleaner based on my experience.

The best price I've been able to get is £44 from Mororworks. As I will be driving past in the next couple of days, I think I'll call in there.

rather doubt it*.

lead acid sent dry so you'll have to get somewhere local to fill it. been there, done that. not worth the effort IMO.

*if it is, i'll be getting a couple
