New 1200 v old single cam!

Got mine in Sept after swapping my 2yr old 1200mu.

Now done 2000mls and I'm still amazed at the difference,it's just so much better all round, smoother, faster,so much more torque, and the gearbox feels very different.

I was encouraged to take the GSA out which I did,I don't know why it should feel so very different from the GS but it does, still goes well but the steering is very odd, folks say it feels "planted"it just felt very heavy and vague to me.

The GSA spots illuminate nothing you should be wasting time looking at while riding at night, although I grant they may make the bike more visible.

The bracket they fix to is very handy for attaching HID ballasts though :)
I disagree: Set properly (which is key) they help give a nice illumination when riding on dipped headlight.

not unless you ride by looking 20 feet in front of the wheel.

When my dipped beam HID failed I did a 40 mile ride home on just the Aux lights - properly set up, they are close to mimicking the standard dipped beam throw with a good enough cut off not to blind on coming traffic, IMHO. I leave mine bolted tight enough for them not to move whilst riding but still able to adjust them should the need arise.

if i put my spots on with the original halogen dip beam, they light up the verge a bit better, and that's it. i can adjust them all i like, and they are still a waste of space, as far as making a useful contribution to lighting my way.
obviously, if the dip beam was out i might be able to detect some of their light on the road. i've not tried it like that.

i was talking about their performance in normal conditions, at normal speeds.

i can't be arsed to argue any more.

the end.
