Sold my previous gen SAS, 2020 and 28,500 miles. Loved that bike and the engine was very smooth.
I've only done 400 miles on new bike so far (only had a couple of days :) )I am finding the engine much more buzzy/high frequency vibes through the tank, especially around 4500-5000 revs.....is this normal, does it disappear after first service. I believe they use mineral oil and change to fully synth at first service..... perhaps that helps/cures ?
Apart from that the bikes steering/handling is much improved.

Any comments on your experience appreciated :beerjug:

Mine is only a 390 single, but I can confirm it had mineral oil in for the first 600 miles. I have heard other 390 owners saying their bikes vibrated when new, but quickly smoothed out as the miles build.

Think I might keep my 2018 a while longer, no vibes, more low down torque, less tech to go wrong....

....And I priced up a replacement the other day and like for like is about £4.5k more than I paid for mine in late 2018, although taking into account KTM's extra £2k PX it is "only" £2.5k more, however it is still £8k to swop bikes.

Keeping my 2019 for a while longet too. Goes in early next month for its first 9500 mile service...so I am assuming that wont be cheap? Plus it's farkled to death....and I know it would cost me a fair bit to change over and, tbh, I just love it. First bike in a long time that I havent felt the desire to change at 3 years.

Thinking a remap and suspension re-work / service would freshen mine up a treat and make it better than a new one anyway, and cost less than a grand.

I’ve a 22 plate with about 2,500 miles.

I really am pleased with it apart from the vibes through the bars at certain revs.

It’s been back to Chester KTM but the vibes are still there and it’s bloody annoying.
