New 2017 Triple Black GSA vid

Yes I think 160 hp might be a stretch but as stated triple black in BMW speak means a change the next year. Changes in the TB are mostly cosmetic . I have heard we are looking at a power increase which for the Adventure model could be quite good if done without weight increase.

Afternoon gents,
6 years after I sold my hex 1200, and having gone through a sport touring phase with a K1200, vfr1200 and currently a K1600, I am coming back into the fold having just placed an order for a GSA triple black....

Good man. You're in for a treat.:beerjug:

I just hope it don't end up like this 2015 GSA, I never seen a one year old bike corrode like this .

There is something called ACF50.... ;)

I have never had a problem with corrosion on any bike from any maker that i have looked after from the beginning. Sure, i have inherited corrosion issues even on young bikes i have bought used and my hex GS and also my K1200 (brick type) had numerous other issues mostly around final drives & leaks of various kinds from oil to water to petrol. But no corrosion.

Its all about what kind of miles you do and how you look after stuff. In fact I am of the opinion (like others here) that other makers are no better in that department (Honda certainly has fallen off the proverbial quality cliff of late, whilst all others have always been on the "sh*te anyway" end of the spectrum).

BMW however do have the best aftersales at least in this country and the best no questions asked warranty. Thats indisputable.

Exactly. Look at the torx bolt heads - clearly never cleaned properly nor any protection fitted. I wonder if the front mudguard had an extender. I had a GS and a GSA for a year and rode right though winter - not so much as a dot of corrosion but I guess near London there is less road salt around in winter...
I've seen plenty of hexhead models in dealers with the front casing covered in corrosion and rusty bolts. And I have seen a 1 year old Honda VFR1200 with a final drive and rear axle covered in corrosion. Any bike will rot if not cleaned or protected.

Exactly. Walk into any Honda/ Ducati/ KTM/ Triumph/ Yamaha garage, and you'll be able to find bikes with corrosion.
