Garmin has released new operating software versions for the 27xx series of GPSRs. Amongst other improvements, the new software now allows the user to directly enter a lat/long co-ordinate as a 'go-to' point. This should be of considerable benefit for off-road riders. Although it is not mentioned in the release notes on the website, I believe that this new software release also includes an update for the GTM series of FM traffic receivers, just in case you happen to have one of these connected to your 27xx.
The best way to get the new software is to use the Garmin WebUpdater tool, rather than downloading the 27xx software bundle directly as a file to your computer. If you don't yet have the WebUpdater tool, you can get it here: Garmin WebUpdater Tool.
