New 40th Anniversary GS Tomorrow?

I googled PCPs and found a 2017 Autocar reports that stated 82% of new cars purchased in UK
in 2016 were bought on PCPs. Staggering :blast

Other than signing up for pcp to take advantage of a discount (and then cancelling and keeping the discount), I have never taken out PCP on a bike or car. I used to be quite disparaging of PCP, but it really depends on the interest rate. I bought my BMW car for cash 4 years ago and recently did a very detailed analysis of the costs of purchase over 3 to 5 years period. Won't bore you with that, but the figures reminded me of what we perhaps all know, that if you are buying a keeper, buy with cash. But if you change vehicles every 3-5 years, then PCP has some attractive qualities and shouldn't be easily dismissed.
