New Akrapovic silencer

I was looking at the aftermarket exhaust options earlier in the week, but like the sat nav just struggle to part with the cash when I feel it’s unlikely to alter my experience enough relative to the outlay.

I fear that I would be a little underwhelmed and then look at going further towards new headers, de cat and a full dyno set up…always in search of better.
Before you know it you’re then £3k in

I like the idea and they do look better than stock so guess there’s the visual appeal, though saying that I quite like the look of the Remus kit as well.

If it helps, I’ve swapped my Akra (dealer fitted and lovely on GSA) for a Remus 8 and I’m much happier with the braaap now…


Neighbours notice me a bit more, with it having a louder tickover etc.
when out with others, they are complimentary about the aural treat when they are behind me.

Got mine from this very parish, & sold the Akra for similar figure as @PitaNaanRoti says, just under £500

Correct. With the silencer I was sent it didn't line up no matter where you rotated it to.
I've returned it now anyway. To be fair they've been really good. We discussed it on the phone, I sent them pictures and they're happy to refund me.
I want to try another one, it was a work of art!

They are a lovely piece of engineering…..

Bit off topic, but kind of not....

I have a Remus to fit to my r1250rs. Do you ideally need some sort of compound where the joining is to existing exhaust pipe ?

Not if it’s engineered and made properly… Never had a Remus but they appear to be a decent quality product so I’d guess not..
