Take your time and you'll find the right one :thumb

basically any variation on a theme will still involve a lardy, torquey and oversized maxi-enduro so there really isn't too much of a choice :D

Greetings, Andy!

to what Italian Trev said. Having come from an f650GS (fun, fun, fun, little single!), I can tell you that the big GS is just that -- big. It takes a bit of getting used to, but once you do, it's oh-so-much-fun! I like the little f, but the big boxer can do just about anything!

Take your time, find one that you like, that is in good shape, and that speaks to you. When you find the right one, you'll know. Won't matter much if it's an 1100, 1150, or 1200; they're all siblings.

Good luck!

Hi Andy, Im 5'8" and also own an MT03 BUT, I have owned the 1150 GSA, the 100GS and now also own an 1100gs, The MT03 is in the Yamaha showroom for sale as it is never ridden and the 1100gs is what I ride every day.
My advice is to go for an 1100gs enjoy it its cheaper, bullet proof and you don't need to be precious with it. If you enjoy it you can always go up to the bigger bikes though in my opinion the 6 speed gearbox in the 1150 is great but if you can handle a slightly heavier clutch and only 5 gears you will never be disappointed!

Adventure!!!!

Get ureself a 1150 Gsa, its got the lot:thumb2:thumb2:thumb2
Youve been told now go and buy one, awesome:rob
(I'm biased of course:augie)

Already !

A week ago you were confused and you have seen the light already; congratulations - I am sure that you won't regret it; I have had 8 BM's, this 1200GS for the last three years. I could easily be tempted to change it for something even better - but so far nothing else seems to exist unless I want the same bike with a fatter tank and tin boxes etc; which I don't think are quite my scene!
