Wanted an R100GS for a while.
Had an 8 valve GS for 30K miles; brilliant
Had some technical issues that I didn't resolve
But, now have the Bumble Bee
Not my garages though; don't have one

New aquisition

Not new to airheads, have an R80/7 1978
Re daft questions, er, don't look at my threads
Side panel will follow soon. Should have viewed the bike first. Let's not mention the noisy thrust bearing, left hand pot mechanically noisy when hot.
The rest of the problems were mentioned in the ad, slow speedo, pulsing rear wheel when braking, seat lock missing, rattling collector........
There was an eeire rattle from the front wheel on the ride home; turned out to be the front disk. It's a floating one, but I don't think it was meant to be floating that much. Replace it yesterday with a new cast iron disk. The rest of the jobs will follow as spare money arrives I will be using it for work as well as hols
