Just fitted the new Autocom Super Pro Auto to '08 GSA.

Very helpful guy (Richard Wallace) at Warwick let me have one this week although not officially launched yet as was in the UK from Jersey. Kit is usual high quality and instructions and explanantions still all sound like they are in welsh to me. However even I can plug the right jack plugs into the right holes.

After an afternoon of very careful routing of wiring all installed and operational. Some big +++'s over previous Autocom

1) Seperate rider and pillion music input :clap More Floyd for me and more of whatever she wants!
2) Sat Nav instructions can be faded to be only heard by the rider, so not interupting her high quality choice of music!
3) Kit includes curly leads for helmets as standard

I haven't bike to biked it or blue toothed it as we didn't need it but both options are on the kit.

Things to be aware of on installation

1) The box itself is quite big and will not sit under the tool tray on a GSA. The only place I could find to put it was to take out the tool roll and put it in the plastic tool tray with all the spare wiring underneath.
2) There are two music leads in the kit, each has one end yellow one end black. Thought it would be useful to plug them in opposite ways round so that she could see my music was the lead with the yellow end and hers with the black end. :blast Don't do it. Yellow ends MUST be into the autocom for them to work, otherwise screws up the sound quality. Reverted to a bit of coloured insulation tape around one lead.
3) Little red box that you have had with other systems between the nav and the autocom may not work with the new system - Check when you are buying new kit.
4) Don't coil excess lengths of music input leads together as the music bleeds across at very very low volume from one to the other. This is inaudible on the move or with your own music playing, but is still there.

Brief road test and all is clear, operational and good. As I said usual high quality Autocom. Thanks to Dr Zippy of this forum for loan of first kit and conversion to the autocom club!

Richard, glad all is going well and thank you for the post/thread. One point I will say though is that the kits only come with the one music lead, the second one was a freebie :thumb from me.

Rich,

Bit of a cheek but if you log into the forum, can you be kind enough to let me know what delivery service you have used to send me the new headset to the USA, as have arrived at the hotel and it is no show at present. Problem being its saturday night there and afternoon here and I am leaving Cody Monday morning so need to try and track it down on Sunday if possible and am assuming you won't be checking your work e mail (where I have also sent you a message)

Sorry for harrassing you on private time, Hope you understand?

Thanks

:D:D:D
