Well I'm back from the land of Eng with the new addition, Proff's badgering me for pictures so here are a few to keep him happy.

Packed up and ready for the road, the original handlebars and black exhaust shield lovingly wrapped by Pete the previous owner and bungeed to the rear rack, caused a few questions at ferry security I can tell you. Loads of other bits and bobs went into the right side pannier, larger items will be shipped next week. :augie

Pete's really into his bikes, his off road prepped R80 and an immaculate 1993 Kawasaki KR-IS are also on the market, got to say I was sorely tempted. :blast

Made it safe, sound and grinning up to Birkenhead just as the sun was going down, the bikes just such a nice thing to ride.

Had a bit of a wait for the ferry but joined the other drivers and answered a few queries about the bike.

Made it home at 7 this morning and introduced the new baby to her big sisters the 1150 GSA (Brynhildr) is in a bit of a sulk but the 100 PD (Hildr) seems happy enough. :P

Wunderlich MRA screen and Renthal bars at the front.

The backs had some attention as well including a Tehnoflex shock with high and low compression adjustment. Note the complete stainless steel fitting upgrade.

Right that's enough to keep you going, the suns out and it's time I was. :thumb

Very nice. Got yourself a good deal there. :thumb2
I guess you'll be shopping for a fork brace next?

Are those standard pannier rails? Is that how they're meant to be?
Not a judgement, just curious.

Yes they are the correct pannier rails:thumb2
I'm going to see a fabricator about getting exact copies made of fork brace.:rob

Were they from another model available at the time of launch and had the extra spacers added to make them fit then? I can't see how they would have been designed specifically for this model and need extra bracketry to fit.
Or have the rails been lowered from standard to make the panniers line up more aesthetically? :nenau

Pete had the spacers machined by a friend to let the panniers sit at the same level, I'll leave those more qualified to answer the originality question, I'm still learning this stuff. :augie

Ta. I don't mean to spoil your thread or pick faults or anything, I'm just curious.

Pannier rails have been butchered ( nicely though ) for the fitting of the rear shock etc :)
