New Bars

I fancy some new bars for the ST, I would like to get away from the chrome, but I am not sure that black is the answer either, so that removes the G/S bars for now, so what are the options? will the standard controls fit on Renthal bars?

cant think of a problem meself.
there may be locating lugs on the switchgear that fit into little holes drilled in the standard bars, but i doubt it.
Anyhow, you'd just file them off if there were. I've done it on various Bikes and never had a problem as a result.
If you have heated grips, getting the wiring through the 'Bars and drilling an exit hole(s) will be a sod - but do-able.
EDIT:
just dont go for fancy "Fat 'Bars" / tapered 'Bars or the like - the diameter of those could easily create a problem
