Sorry to the 1300 guys but I just don't like it .
So just ordered a new 1250 GSA with lots of loverly bits on. My 4th one but not since 2006 , not ridden one of the new ones but never tend to do that anyway, did try one for size in October so all good.
Dick lovett Bristol my new bike dealer . Tried M and P but they could not be arsed to call me back even though I said I wanted a new bike. What is wrong with the world.
Anyway, 8 week build.

Congrats, I'm sure the 1300GS is good for what it is. But the 1250 GSA is a cracking bike. You won't regret it. What variant and what bits did you order with it?

Congratulations , certainly a few on here that came to the same conclusion including myself. Took delivery of a new GSA in December just need to get my thumb out of my ar5e and get out on it.

Full Ali luggage, tank bag , rad guards , sump guard for the never to be off roaded bike. Light guard (which is probably pants). And what ever comes with the TE triple black. O yes, the low frame cuz im short:rolleyes:
Forgot the M battery sure there's more but .......

Some models (Trophy for sure) come standard with rad guards. The BMW light guard is good, I think, but it's a pig to fit. You do know that it comes with a sump guard of sorts? the option is an upgraded version for hard core off road.

Congratulations and I came to the same conclusion having ridden them both & coming from a 2020 1250 GS previously. Collected my 2023 GSA Trophy in November & like Hartley need to get out on it. Planning a ride out tomorrow to collect my jacket from Hideout as it happens.

I was just thinking to myself I was sure mine had rad guards. Didn't realise that was Trophy specific..

I am looking at replacing my bike in June 2025.
part ex my bike (2017 GS TE) and add another £7k to the pot and see what i can get

1300 probably out of reach this time, so ill get a late 1250, would love the 719 version, we will see next year ;)

Nice one, the 1250 range should be just about sorted by now. I bloody hope so as I've got a new 1250RS sat in the garage :ROFLMAO:

Good luck with the bike. There's oodles of power on the 1250 or even the 1200 for that matter. On the plus side if there's any other bits you fancy for the bike you'll find loads on here in excellent condition.
Probably 60hp down on what I have in the garage but heaho. That was the point. Hopefully the h2 goes tomorrow.

Very sensible, i was in a similar boat but got caught unfortunately so the sports stuff went.

Don't miss it, the GS's / GSA's are still quick enough and i love getting out on the backroads where the GS's excel.

Nice, but just so you know, there is no such thing as a low frame

Its a factory low option x499

Its a shorter front and rear shock
Side and centre stands

Be aware that even in the low option,

Its taller than the TC & hexhead models it replaces

Thid is due to the frame being 60mm wider in the seat area, the knock on effect is to reduce the leg arc/ height ratio

Which means the bike is effectively same height as a TC with a std seat.

If every mm counts, you may need to go for an ultra low seat from TT

But i agree 1200/1250 beats the 1300 on looks any day 👍

A pair of Daytona M Stars adds another 25mm for us stumpies....

Mine was the low as im a short arse. Something that big being able to flat foot is a must or was for me anyway.
