New bike. (Youngest r1150gsa rider?)

Good man yourself Alex. You are obviously a discerning chap having gone for the finest GS of all. :)

Plenty of good GSing roads up around your part of the world there too. Enjoy. :thumb2

Hi Alex,

Welcome to the forum ........

........ I have to ask. What was Katie Price like in bed?

Great bike, and welcome....I just got my first GS, about a lifetime after you tho!!
With the oil cooler guard, just nip down to B&Q or the like and buy a square of perforated mesh, undo the lights and beak and cut it to size, it drops straight in, not as pretty, but just as functional.

Have fun, you're gonna love it

Silver are the fastest ones.
but yours looks OK :D
Ride Safe,young un.....................:thumb

Ash is wearing his rose coloured specs again, everyone else know Yellow are the fastest!.

Hi Alex and welcome!! Agreed very nice bike you have there...I'm also in my 20s and been riding a silver gsa for 12 months or so bought through the forum. Best bike owned so far and you'll mates will stop taking the p*ss when you leave them behind on their sports bikes on the twisty roads.

Alex

I'm going to spend far too much money I have a feeling... indeed, more bling incoming. I do hope it's the best bike so far, I plan on keeping it for many years!
Haha - my insurance company would have a fit if I put a stubby on it.

:blast
It's an affliction, that grips so many of us.
Sadly no cure.
May you spend wisely or not,as is usually the case :D

Not at all Alex. Ditch the standard can and fit a stubby pipe. No noisier than standard with the benefit of having two panniers the same size on either side. :thumb2

But, a good idea to tell your insurance company anyway. Their view will probably be that if it passes an MOT with the stubby fitted them it's ok with them.

However you don't want to find out that it's not ok when you need to make a claim.

And given your age and the cost of insurance these days, I might leave things as standard for a bit ;)

Congrats on your new bike. Same as mine but in much better condition. Don't go off road unless you have the monies to fix it. Better bikes out there for off road but maybe I just don't know how to ride mine!

I think there the best looking GSA btw! Keep between the ditches young man!

Thanks, I'm looking for a Dr350 or something to go side by side. :thumb2 Agreed best looking.

I'm resisting a stubby, :augie just been payday and I think I nearly have all the goodies I could ever want / need. Moneys there to be spent right? 13 days till I can ride it. :JB:JB

Alex you have a pm.

Bought the rugged roads Fatter foot as it worried me by how much it leaned over and only weighing a minimal 71kg's I can imagine fully loaded and petrol might be hard to man handle it from side stand if it's on a slope. :augie

But problem - the fatter foot interfere's with both the centre stand when up and the exhaust. Any ideas?
