It looks like a Norton Commando 750 Street Scrambler that's been modified a bit.....:nenau

{Edit} Actually.....it's a P11A, otherwise known as a Norton Ranger, isn't it....? {/Edit}

Nope.

It's a lot lighter than a Norton. :mmmm

I'm racking my brains here. Clocks look like Smiths, indicators are Joe Lucas, grips are the squidgy ones I had on my Commando, large bulge on the front of the primary chaincase for the alternator, points set high on the timing chest on the nearside.....:confused:

So it's a Brit single of some description.

500 twin in a 250 frame, beautiful little bike. I've wanted one for years, it's 99% original and rides lovely.

Lovely, I was looking at one of those for sale at the Classic Bike show...thank goodness my lady was with me to keep me in check.
Enjoy:thumb

Someone tell me if I'm right, didn't the old Triumphs and BSAs make a hybrid or merge for what ever purpose; but I can remember one of me old mates riding a bike he referred to as a Tribsa, using a Triumph engine in a BSA frame. Nice looking bike though.:rob

BSA bought Triumph in 1951. Tribsas, like Tritons, were built by individuals but in the 1970s most of the BSA and Triumph range used common components. Even the engines were the same on the single-cylinder bikes.

My bike could probably be referred to as a factory-built Tribsa, it's the Triumph 500 engine from the Daytona/Tiger 100 in a modified BSA B25/B50 frame. Unfortunately they were built just as the BSA/Triumph company went tits-up and they were discontinued along with the entire BSA range.
