In today's local paper there's a job advert covering everyone from salespeople to a van driver for a new BMW dealership at the Porsche centre just outside Norwich. Yes, the same place as the new Harley dealership.
The ad doesn't say when it might open.

No trading allowed yet, and I've been refused permission to buy a second machine in case I start a bike collection!
Mind you, the fully kitted-out 800GS looks tempting. When the dealer opens I'll be popping in for a test ride. Just don't tell anyone.

I've been hearing about a dealers in Norwich for a while...hope this is something that is now possibly going to happen.
Norwich could certainly stand a BMW dealership.....I found the Lind set-up a few years ago a very half-hearted affair...and certainly before BMW was really the force it is today in the market place.
I bought my GS Adventure from Cannon in Colchester, now Braintree...big mistake!...I've got very little (none!) good things to say about them...and now deal with Balderstones in P'boro.
I found the ride to Colchester/Braintree dull and boring..but find the ride to P'boro quite pleasent by comparison
My only concern would be the standard of service. If it was a return to a half-hearted affair of before I would continue to travel to Balderstones, who to be honest offer excellent, faultless, service and customer care.
It would take an efficient set-up to prise me from still using Balderstones to be honest.
I'd like to see a dealership in Norwich, and I know Balderstones have been eyeing this area for a while, and value the business that is generated from here.....my ideal would be a franchise run by Balderstones???...who knows?

Walked into Porsche dealers today, asked when and where the new bike dealerships were opening. Was told by a salesman that they will be opening in April at the old site on Ber St.........., will investigate tomorrow!!

Just an update.....Walked into Hein Gericke on Ber St. today, asked if they knew anything about new dealerships......BM & Harley/Buell opening May, maybe June.

At the old BM site next to HG there is now a H-D chrome merchants....

The Harley/Buell dealer has opened, so I assume it's going to be next door to that. It's all branded Lind.

I assume that from what has been said above the beemer dealer will be back where it used to be on Ber Street.

I think so, yes. To begin with I thought it would be near the Lind car place on the A47, but from earlier comments on here, it looks like going in with or next to the H-D/Buell dealership.

Looking in the Ber Street premises 3 days ago you couldn't get a Rizla paper in there for the Buells and Hardly Moving Sons!
