New BMW Fog Light Instalation

Hi, Im new to this site after part exchanging a GTR 1400 for my R1200GSA. The gSA came with all the goodies except the fog lights so I have purchased a new set from Vines which will arrive tomorrow. Vines advised that the fog bmw fog light fitment is a dealer fit and no instructions come with the parts. Can someone help with instructions to fit a new set of BMW Fog Lights to my bike please.

Well if it's anything like the GS fit then it's a tank off job to find the point where the wiring connects into a socket under the tank.

ive done mine tank off cables connect under tank also lift ecu i think to fit relay which comes with the kit not much of a job once you get started

my first gsa also came without fogs and i also bought my kit from vines,no instuctions as they have said but its all pretty straightforward,routing the wires properly takes time as they will only reach easily one way.fitting the relay really got me,but remove the fuel tank,unclip the ecu in the holder the fold the holder back and you will see a spare mini relay space,thats where the fog relay goes.also i think there is a wiring conection around the ecu area,the connector is blanked off by a plastic blank which is well disguised and looks like its part of the connector.
ps,dont lift the tank off when there is a lot of petrol in it,let it get really low.

If you still need them I could post you a copy of the instructions on fitting the fog lights from the BMW manual that is in cd format. I have copied them into a word doc but they are still 12 pages so may not email but if not then there is still the post cheers Ian

Send them back and ask for a refund because they didn't come with instructions.

Then buy some much better lamps that won't snap their crappy cheese plastic mounting brackets the first time you drop the bike for half the price and spend the £200 on fuel, beer and women.

Glad you posted this figment guide ,just missed out by£1 on fleabay led lights so glad I did now ,what an effort to be noticed on the road ,glad I've got H.I.D low beam fitted instead now up front and won't be wanting anything else
