BMW Fog Light Kit for GS (not GSA)

Hi,
I have a set of these fitted to my 08 GS. They are adventure spots but are not mounted on crash bars, they use a separate mounting point. They look good IMO.

Agreed, they look better than a light bar IMHO too.

If you fitted them yourself, how easy/PITA was it? and lastly: how much did the kit come to?

Ta.

It was £384 fitted by Lind Norwich, it took about 2hrs for them to do the job.

I saw a 12GS (not GSA) at South London Motorcycles with them fitted. Give 'em a call ?

... Fer £380+ for a dealer fitted factory set you could do better by building your own "BTBR" set-up

... HElla MicroDEs for dip beam, FF50s for main beam £120ish
... Migsel light bar £150ish (ADV & GS models available)
... Wire, relays, heat-shrink tube, PIAA switch £50ish
... 3-4 hour "novice" fitting time

... That'll give you a 150watt dip set-up and another 150w on main.

... You'll find most of the detail hidden on the site with a search :thumb

Well... I managed to source the BMW kit for far less than your MigSel setup. Also I'd have to go through the pain & extra cost of replacing my exsiting Wassal ballast frame for another one to allow fitment of the MigSel bar for a stock GS.

Fog lights for 05 GS?

I wanted to fit some fog lights to my 05 model GS, and was give a flat "no" from Vines. Apparently the control unit doesn't respond to them.

Purely out of interest, has anyone succeeded in fitting fog lights to a pre 07 GS?

hundreds of people have... get youself a migsel light bar which is the flat bar in the pic above, and then choose which lights u want.
Wire it up using a relay and you are done - it doesnt take long....

may be worth chating to les wassal (top man BTW) and im sure he can sort u out with normal lights or a hid light if u choose to go down that route

Thanks. Now I feel a bit of a twit for asking, but I was a bit surprised by Vines response. Seeing as the bike is going back to them this week to sort out a persistent electrical problem - I suppose I shouldn't have been. I'll give it a go.
