Had a look at a new BMW jacket at Jeffries yesterday (didn't notice name!!) , £400 waterproof breathable etc. Has anyone bought one yet and any comments?

That would most probably be the new TourShell. Does it have a blue thermal inner?

Was going to get myself a TourShell but couldn't find stock in my size when I needed so ended up getting a StreetGuard 3 which I'm very happy with. The wife however did get the full TourShell suit and so far she's pretty happy with it.

Definitely waterproof (we've tested) and reasonably warm although you might need a few extra layers in the middle of winter as the cold does seem to transfer through after prolonged motorway driving. Either that or the wife is just being a wuss :augie

Bought one last weekend :D . Very pleased so far :thumb2

Wanted something that will not absorb water like my hg master jacket and also has waterproof zips which can be opened for some fresh air when the weather gets hot which was a problem with the hg in the Dolomites last year.

Also has good protection with a large back protector and elbow and shoulder protectors. Been using it this week and has been plenty warm enough- build quality also excellent with some nice touches (pocket has a string to attach your keys so they dont fall out).

Have no hesitation in recommending.

My missus has just got the jacket and pants (also from jefferies), 120 miles on the back of the bike a couple of weekends ago including an hour on the m6 motorway, shrugged of the rain and wind chill, a thumbs up so far.

The media/mobile pocket with hole for headphones is also great, as is the reversible 'pack away' pocket for the detachable thermal liner. And did you spot the removable neck scarf tucked away by the top of the back protector? Only discovered that when I removed the thermal for the first time. This was on the ladies jacket by the way - I assume the men's has the same features.
