New bouncy thing - Wiber shock

I ordered a Wilber’s from Pier city for my 21 Urban, all matched to my weight and expected a big improvement but never really felt it, then I took the bike to a suspension expert to set it up properly and the difference was amazing and totally transformed the bike.
So even if you have a bespoke shock, get it set up by a professional the extra £80 or so will make it all worthwhile.

Great advice. I have had a fiddle with it but am no expert. I’ll seek out someone who can help.

Does anyone have a favourite suspension expert in the south east (UK).

If you had the ability to change the shock safely then setting the shock up should be easy all you need is a measuring tape, pencil, paper and something to get the bike off the ground.

Then look on youtube something like this, but there are better ones

Remember that what ever you do can be reversed as long as the note all the original settings and how much you adjusted them it is easy and cost nothing but time. I've setup quite a few bike including the RnineT when I modified the front forks with emulators, preload adjusters and fitted a Shock factory shock. Changing the shock is the 1st and most expensive job but to get the best the bike needs setting up it is easy and a skill worth learning.

I fit a Shock Factory rear shock from Winding Roads - call/chat to Martin - he was super helpful, cheaper than a Wilburs, just as good and utterly transformed the bike - will be getting another for my next Urban
