Just in the process of farkeling the R1150GS for a circumnavigation of Oz later this year; just fitted the Bumot panniers.

Well impressed with their fit and finish; years ago I had a set of Jesses on an R100GS and these are equivalent quality but at a much sharper price. The "free" tool box was a nice bonus and complements the silencer on the nearside.

They look good and £500 cheaper than the Jesse ones. Flat bottoms rather than the partially angled ones on the jess. It has stainless steel hinges like the Jesse and at at that price the choice will be the decider for most people. Love the small tool box. They are powder coated inside and out too, to stop the black marks that alloy can give.

Cant be sure but the locks look like you can remove them easily too are they overcenter fixings to the pannier frames?

Yes, the insides are finished to the same high standard as the outside.

and

Yes the locks flip up to easily remove each pannier in seconds.

I loved the Jesses on my R100GS but price was the decider.

Like those fork protectors ,rugged roads?, just cant justify 45 odd nicker... bike looks great... great colour lol

I know, I swallowed hard at the price for 2 bits of plastic but I reckoned that after the best part of 15,000km of potential stabilised roads they would more than pay for themselves in protecting the lower forks
